About The Innkeepers
Tommy and Tracey Engel purchased Kennedy Manor in August 2016 with the hopes of bringing life and beauty back to the historic home. After raising their 2 children in Waxahachie, Texas, and traveling to Jefferson since 1997, they made the decision to purchase the home that they once stayed in. In fact, during their first stay in the home in December 2000, Tracey had a strong feeling and stated 'I think we are going to own this home one day.'
Tommy and Tracey now work full time running the Bed & Breakfast, as well as running their tour business, Historic Tours of Jefferson. They reside in the main home, along with their 2 cats, Gus Gus and Penny.
Their son, Jacob is a bartender in the Austin area. He and his wife Shavelle were married in our home in January 2020, and purchased their first home in July 2020 in Georgetown, TX. Their daughter, Taylor, is a teacher in Wylie ISD in the Dallas area. She also recently purchased her first home in Rowlett, TX in the summer of 2020. She recently completed her master's degree in GeoScience in December 2022.
