About The Innkeepers
Tommy and Tracey Engel purchased Kennedy Manor in August 2016 with the hopes of bringing life and beauty back to the historic home. After raising their 2 children in Waxahachie, Texas, and traveling to Jefferson for the past 21 years, they made the decision to purchase the home that they once stayed in.
Tracey and Tommy now work full time running the Bed & Breakfast, as well as running their tour business, Historic Tours of Jefferson. Their son, Jacob is a bartender in the Austin area. He and his wife Shavelle were married in our home in January 2020, and purchased a home in July 2020 in Georgetown, TX. Their daughter, Taylor, is a teacher in Wylie ISD in the Dallas area. She also recently purchased a home in Rowlett, TX in the summer of 2020. She is currently working on her master's degree in GeoScience.
Tommy and Tracey always wanted to begin a business together. The home that Tracey once stated ‘we will own’ was available, and the empty nesters agreed it was perfect timing to begin a new adventure.
